Questions people ask
- How long does it take to learn basic strategy?
- Most people know the hard totals after a few sessions. Soft hands and pairs take longer. Practise the hands you miss: here they come back every third deal until you get them.
- What are the hardest hands?
- Soft 18, 12 against a 2 or 3, and the soft doubles. They look like one move and the chart says another.
- What does a close call mean?
- Two moves within a chip per $100 of each other. Either is fine; the quiz accepts both.
- Does the quiz use my table's rules?
- It uses a common 6-deck game: dealer stands on soft 17, double after split, late surrender, blackjack pays 3 to 2.
